Nystawipp Jones Character Bio

After gaining independence from the Swarm, Nystawipp had only one desire: popularity.

​

Unfortunately, a lifetime ingrained in a humungous hive mind makes interaction with others challenging.

​

Nystawipp desperately tried to make friends with just about everybody they came across while reading all sorts of self-help books to try and make them better at socialising, but had no luck as their earnest attempts to make acquaintances came across as pushy and strange to many.

​

Within these books, Nystawipp found that helping others was a good way to make friends and, taking this to its logical extreme, studied mysticism in order to learn healing magic in order to help people. This turned out to be another relative dead end, as Nystawipp’s pushy personality scared the wounded so much they’d refuse treatment, even the really badly injured ones.

​

Back at square one, Nystawipp fell into a rut, believing they’d never find fame or popularity in the galaxy, however it was in this rut that they found the wide world of the web or, more specifically, social media. They spent hours upon hours watching many different influencers and was inspired to try and join their ranks, whatever it took. Armed with a camera, gumption, and difficulty reading social situations, Nystawipp set to work.

Thanks to Nystawipp’s unique personality, what was intended as nice, heart-warming videos showing kindness to others quickly became unintentionally hilarious prank videos as Nystawipp botched deliveries, said the wrong things, and on a few occasions accidentally let off spells at the worst time. A video would start as a fairly milquetoast affair that was meant to end with Nystawipp giving a generous tip to some wait staff, but would quickly descend into chaos as Nystawipp tripped over their words and, flustered, mistakenly summons a shadow creature that would start biting waiters and customers alike as Nystawipp chased after it, falling over tables and knocking food everywhere.

While not quite what Nystawipp intended, what these videos became proved to be far more successful than the dull videos that were planned, as they exploded in popularity and made Nystawipp an internet sensation.

​

At first, Nystawipp adored the attention they were getting, believing they’d finally achieved the popularity they wanted so badly.

​

However, as Nystawipp made more videos and leant into this awkward and disruptive persona, they found a sense of mounting guilt and shame for the victims of these videos. Nystawipp knew that deep down, this isn’t who they are.

​

After much research, Nystawipp found a self-help getaway being ran on Verces that promised to help build character and find connections with other individuals who struggled in interacting with others. Elated, Nystawipp booked the first trip to the Pact Worlds they could find, excited to meet new people and, eventually, show the galaxy who they really are.
