Experience
February 2023 - Present
Backend Administration and SEO Specialist - mYminiBreak
In this position, I refine web content to better adhere to SEO and get the pages ranking higher in Google Search. To do this, I learned and used tools like Semrush, Neuron Writer, Google Analytics, RSSeo, and more to track pages’ positions, then focus keywords and key phrases, and implement them effectively across header, body, and meta text, as well as alt text in images. Moreover, I use the team’s organisational tool, ClickUp, and organised the team’s workspace to ensure everyone could work as efficiently as possible. While not strictly related to my job title, I also undertook research and writing of legal documents to further assist the company’s growth in opening up new sites across Norfolk.

March 2022 - September 2022
Admin Assistant/Writer - All Maverick
While I was initially hired on for an Administrative Assistant role at this company, me and my superiors decided early into the role that I would have more work available by focusing on my passion: writing, due to the other employees working independently and not requiring enough supervision to make constant administrative work necessary. As a result, I worked primarily on researching and writing articles for the company to boost traffic to their website. These articles ranged from topical pieces on the latest gaming news to longer think pieces. I also proofread other writers’ work, and cleaned up grammatical errors and sentence structure where necessary.

July 2019 - October 2021

Customer Assistant/Post Office Clerk
Working this job primarily taught good interpersonal skills in working with customers to make their experiences in the shop and Post Office smooth and enjoyable. This included solving problems, working quickly, and acting appropriately to manage customers’ feelings. As the shop was popular, it would get busy and hectic during peak periods, and I would have to work faster in this high-pressure environment to match the demand.
2016 - 2017

Eastern Daily Press - Future Voices
The EDP's 'Future Voices' scheme saw me writing a handful of articles on a topic of my choice. It provided great experience of working independently, as well as formulating ideas for engaging articles.
