This is the storyboard which contains the information for each clip of the piece. It was originally drawn in pencil but has since been traced in pen so it is more visible. This storyboard is invaluable in showing our original ideas and thought process for the preliminary task.

The general tone of the piece is quite dark, and as such the lighting will not be very bright. As said before, we'll film the Outside section on a cloudy/overcast day to give off a bleak and serious feeling, and there will be no natural light in the Inside section, only using light to show off actions or facial features.

Lighting:

All of the sound will be foley added in post production (with the exception of the actors lines). We plan to add the sound of wind Outside (makes area seem empty), footsteps (makes what's on screen make more sense), clock ticking Inside (will be used to build tension in the scene), breathing (same as clock ticking) and a gunshot (used as a climax and to end the scene).

Setting:

The piece includes two settings: outside and inside. Outside will introduce the 'main character', and will be shot on a grey, bleak day, and we have planned to include wind as foley in post production, but otherwise make it as silent as possible. Inside contains the bulk of the piece including the 2 lines of dialogue, and two of the necessary techniques (the other technique, Match on Action, will happen Outside). The lighting inside is dark, so we'll find an office-style room and black out the windows using curtains and card to make it as dark as possible. The only light will be cast on the actors.

There are only a few props that will appear in the piece. These will include two brown envelopes, a cigarette, a door, a table and two chairs. Once we have found suitable props, I will take pictures of them and put them here so I can show what they look like and why we chose that prop.

Props:

For the planning stage, we created two seperate storyboards. One very rough one put on A4 paper which outlined basic ideas for the task, and another neater one on which we improved our ideas and wrote down more information such as the lighting, settings, actions etc. Everyone in the group contributed ideas to the project, and we ended up with the theme of a shady deal happening between two people.
