Introduction to Music Video Analysis
In analysing music videos, we will be looking at the following main areas: Camerawork, Mise en scene, Editing, Soundtrack, Representation, Mulvey and Dyer's theories (Male Gaze and Star Theory respectively) and Uses and Gratifcation (U&G).

For our main project, we've chosen the indie pop genre, which started in the 1970s in the UK, and developed in the 80s, and sub-genre of alternative rock and subsequently indie rock that is more mellow thematically as well as how it sounds, as most indie pop songs focus more on melodic sounding tracks.
